विश्व संगीत दिवस एवं संगीत-विदुषी डॉ. प्रेमलता शर्मा की पुण्य-स्मृति के अवसर पर इन्दिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय कला केन्द्र (आईजीएनसीए) के कलाकोश विभाग तथा अखिल भारतीय गांधर्व महाविद्यालय मंडल, मुंबई के द्वारा विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया। इस आयोजन में महाराष्ट्र के सांगली जिले के मिरज में बनने वाले विश्वविख्यात तानपुरा पर आधारित डॉक्यूमेंट्री फिल्म “आरव : मिरज का तानपुरा” की स्क्रीनिंग की गई और पं. कुमार गंधर्व के शिष्य पं. सत्यशील देशपांडे ने सुंदर गायन प्रस्तुति से श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया। साथ ही, उन्होंने वाद्ययंत्र तानपुरा के महत्त्व पर सारगर्भित व्याख्यान भी दिया। इस अवसर पर हिन्दी और अंग्रेजी में ‘आरव : मिरज का तानपुरा’ पुस्तक का लोकार्पण भी किया गया।
कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता आईजीएनसीए के सदस्य सचिव डॉ. सच्चिदानंद जोशी ने की, जबकि सारस्वत अतिथि थे पद्म श्री प्रो. भरत गुप्त। विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में कला-विदुषी एवं शास्त्रीय संगीत गायिका डॉ. सुभद्रा देसाई ने कार्यक्रम को संबोधित किया। कार्यक्रम की प्रस्तावना आईजीएनसीए के कलाकोश विभाग के अध्यक्ष प्रो. सुधीर लाल ने प्रस्तुत की। उन्होंने भारतीय संगीत परंपरा में तानपुरे की महत्ता तथा उसके सांस्कृतिक एवं आध्यात्मिक पक्षों पर प्रकाश डाला। इस अवसर पर तानपुरा शिल्पी अल्ताफ मुल्ला और मिरज की तानपुरा पर शोध करने वाली डॉ. पी.वाई मुल्ला भी उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम का आयोजन आईजीएनसीए के समवेत सभागार में किया गया।
अध्यक्षीय सम्बोधन में डॉ. सच्चिदानंद जोशी ने वाद्ययंत्रों के संरक्षण की आवश्यकता पर ज़ोर दिया और इस संदर्भ में “आरव : मिरज का तानपुरा” जैसी फिल्मों को बहुत महत्त्वपूर्ण बताया। उन्होंने बताया कि आईजीएनसीए इस तरह के कई कार्य कर रहा है। आईजीएनसीए की अभिलेखीकरण पहलों, विशेष रूप से ‘भीमषड्ज’ परियोजना का उल्लेख करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि इस परियोजना के माध्यम से भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत परम्परा के 36 रागों का दस्तावेजीकरण किया गया है। उन्होंने यह भी रेखांकित किया कि वाद्य-निर्माताओं को भी वही सम्मान और पहचान मिलनी चाहिए, जो संगीतज्ञों, गायकों और कलाकारों को प्राप्त होती है, क्योंकि उनका योगदान भारत की संगीत विरासत का अभिन्न हिस्सा है।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि अगर वाद्ययंत्रों का प्रयोग ही नहीं होगा और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक गजट से ही काम चलाया जाने लगेगा, तो वाद्ययंत्र बनाने वालों की परम्परा समाप्त हो जाएगी। इस तरह, वाद्ययंत्र विलुप्त हो जाएंगे और यह भारतीय संगीत की बहुत बड़ी हानि होगी। उन्होंने कहा, वाद्ययंत्र बजाने वालों की चिंता तो बहुत लोग करते हैं, लेकिन वाद्ययंत्र बनाने वालों की चिंता कोई नहीं करता। हमें इस पर भी विचार करना चाहिए।
प्रो. भरत गुप्त ने कहा, आज तानपुरा की जगह तरह-तरह के एप्स आ गए हैं, लेकिन आपको ये समझ होनी चाहिए कि ये जो रेडिमेड एप्प हैं, वो रेडिमेड कॉफी हैं और रेडिमेड कॉफी में जितने तरह के दुर्गुण होते हैं, वो एप्प में भी हैं। अगर किसी को सृजन करना है, अगर किसी को वास्तव में समझना है कि संगीत क्या है और वो भाव-जगत को कैसे बदलता है, तो तानपुरा ही एक आश्रय है।
फिल्म “आरव : मिरज का तानपुरा” में भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत की साधना में तानपुरे की केंद्रीय भूमिका तथा मिरज की प्रसिद्ध तानपुरा निर्माण परम्परा को प्रभावशाली ढंग से प्रस्तुत किया गया है। कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित तानपुरा शिल्पी श्री अल्ताफ मुल्ला एवं डॉ. पी. वाय. मुल्ला ने तानपुरा निर्माण की परंपरा, उसके शिल्प और संरक्षण की आवश्यकता पर अपने विचार साझा किए।
